Cuando César Kuriyama estuvo ahorrando el suficiente dinero para dejar su trabajo de publicitario a la edad de 30 años, ya tenía previsto tomar un año sabático para viajar y pasar tiempo con la familia.
Para documentar el año, Kuriyama decidió comenzar un nuevo proyecto filmado un segundo de vídeo todos los días.

Después de editar los clips en un solo vídeo, Kuriyama tenía no sólo un registro de la vida diaria, también una nueva perspectiva sobre cómo se vive día a día.
Inspirado por la experiencia, desarrolló una aplicación para smartphones «One Second Everyday», que permitirá a los usuarios crear sus propios vídeos De momento solo esta disponible para los dispositivos iOS.
Todo el mundo probablemente tendrá una experiencia diferente con sus vídeos, pero él dice que la auto-reflexión no es nunca una cosa mala.
